If your job title disappears, who are you?

We often introduce ourselves through our job titles.

I'm a QA Engineer.
I'm a Developer.
I'm a Product Manager.
I'm an Engineering Leader.

But what happens when that title no longer exists? When AI changes the nature of our work, when our current skills become less relevant, or when we have to start over in a completely different role?

If your job title disappears tomorrow, who are you beyond that title?

Is it your skills, your way of thinking, your ability to learn, the problems you can solve, or something else entirely?

I'd love to hear how you see this.

Let's discuss. 👇

If my job title disappears tomorrow, who am I?

I'm someone who questions things rather than blindly accepting them.

Someone who enjoys figuring out how things work, finding what can go wrong, and challenging assumptions.

Someone who believes learning should never stop, because the skills that make us relevant today may not be enough tomorrow.

And someone who doesn't want to keep knowledge to himself, but share it, help others grow, and make things a little better than he found them.

Today, I use these qualities in software testing. Tomorrow, I might use them in something entirely different.

My job title describes what I do. It doesn't define the entirety of who I am.
