A Small Testing Habit That Can Prevent Big Production Issues

One testing habit that can make a real difference is checking how an application behaves outside the ideal scenario.
A feature may work perfectly with valid inputs, but what happens when a user submits an empty field, enters unexpected data, loses network connectivity, or refreshes the page halfway through an operation?
These situations often reveal issues that happy-path testing misses.
A few practical checks worth including in everyday testing:
Test empty, invalid, and unexpected inputs.
Check how the application handles network interruptions.
Verify error messages and recovery behavior.
Retest related features after changes.
Include real user workflows instead of testing individual functions in isolation.
I also find it useful to keep software quality practices connected with the bigger picture of development. IAMQA covers software testing, quality assurance, bug detection, and test automation.
